Pontoon Bridge Near Sasakwa Connects Sasakwa and Allen
A pontoon bridge over the South Canadian river near Sasakwa is nearing completion. Under Lonnie Arthur of Allen, it uses heavy timbers and steel barrels, has three spans of twenty four feet, and links Sasakwa and Allen fields, nine miles apart. This is the second pontoon bridge built in the area.

Tulsa businessman Ledford shot in mysterious ambush
M P Ledford prominent Tulsa businessman who earlier wounded Henry Brown was shot and seriously wounded late last night by an unidentified man. Police pursue two motives including hijack revenge. Ledford was in a car with Mrs Minnie Lightner when a gunman halted them and fired as Ledford leaped out. He remains unconscious in hospital with multiple organ injuries.
