Miss Alice Carlson assistant State 4 H club leader visited Pontotoc county on Wednesday with Mrs Jessie Morgan home demonstration agent. Carlson attended the Fitzhugh club meeting and gave instructions on maintaining 101 4 H record books.
In New York a court move seeks to attach Bank of France funds held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York up to 260 million dollars as security for about 260 million dollars in gold ferried to France last May. George Theunis, Belgian exiled government representative in the U S, disclosed the litigation and the wartime shipment details.
Ireland reports a German aircraft crash near Schull in County Cork. Five crew members were killed and one seriously injured. Eyewitnesses say the plane was seen over the bay with smoke before the fiery crash.
