Ex deputy marshal C L Hart known for eliminating Bill Dalton brought a 667 pound bale of cotton to Ada and sold it at 154 cents per pound for 102.02 dollars per ton. The bale was picked from loose bolls by the roadside and resold by W f Pur who paid the high sale price. Hart asserts cotton farming yields more money than serving as marshal.
Calvin Kuykandall a 16 year old was arrested Tuesday by Ed Brents on theft charges. He pleaded guilty to stealing a horse and various goods found on him identified by local merchants and jailed here. Ethel Tatum charged with theft of clothes from Steam Laundry last week was arrested Sunday.
The report notes the Southern District of Indian Territory handled more 1905 cases than any other district. Ardmore seeks one of two new federal courts as statehood bills move, with Oklahoma City and Muskogee options discussed and judges urging added districts and a three-judge supreme court. Local delegations to Washington expected.
Judge J M Doss contracted Beatty and Stubbs for 800 and paid Jno L Barringer for land northeast of the lee plant to build a g2 compress. Local capitalists urged to take stock as Ada aims for a prompt, strong, permanent industry with merchant and cottonman support.
Notice states Reed and Harrison dissolved the Reed & Harrison partnership on January 28 1904 with W J Reed retiring and G A Harrison continuing as sole proprietor. Harrison will collect all money owed the old firm and assume its obligations. Ada J T
J. M. Doss reports that Sam Harri of Shawnee, with strong Ada ties, plans converting four stone buildings on East Main into a two story hotel. The 100 by 80 foot long structure will hold about 60 rooms, signaling welcome growth for Ada.
Brown and Naylor have formed a partnership as contractors and builders. Anyone contemplating building will do well to see them. Estimates will be furnished on short notice.
Ada's first merchant and post master W. J. Reed retires after 16 years of retailing. George A. Harrison, his five year associate, takes over the same line of business at the old sound, promising continued success under sole management.
A prominent teachers conference convenes in Sherman to perfect summer school arrangements in Eureka Springs Arkansas. Attendees include J. Gi. Martin Paris superintendent W. H. Adamson Oak Cliff J.C. Adamson Ada I T W. M. Gay South Me Alester and E. E. Bramlett Dublin with High School head P. W. Horn at Denison Herald.

Dissolution notice states the firm of Doss and Babcock has ended by mutual agreement. Dr Babcock retains the location over First National Bank while Dr Doss will occupy rooms over Ada National.
The Lincoln Republican club of Ardmore endorsed President Roosevelt and denounced Southern senators for opposing the Panama Canal treaty. It condemned peacemeat statehood legislation and endorsed statehood with Oklahoma on equal terms. Indorsed were P. L. Soper Vinita for national committeeman KE. E. Morris Ryan for delegate and C. G. Kean Wynnewood for territorial executive chair. A dissenting member attacked Roosevelt over his negro policy, sparking a demonstration.
All members are requested to meet at Mrs. W. C. Duncan's on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock for the Entre Nous club gathering.
