Wingard Ranch Uses Jeep and Auger to Ease Workload

Cattle rancher Tobe Wingard and his wife Ruby near Fitzhugh have reduced hard labor by adopting a jeep with a two compartment hopper and an auger to distribute feed to multiple troughs. Frisco Home Demonstration Club Anniversary Supper Fire Scene

Deadline Set for Cotton and Peanut Allotments

Ada ASC manager Bennett Sherraty says farmers must file applications for cotton and peanut allotments by February 15. The farm claiming the allotment must be the sole farm owned or operated by the owner for the year of allotment, and peanut allotments require at least two years of peanut experience in the past five years.

Officials Seek Aid For Water Program

Ada officials and conservation leaders met to discuss securing easements for a watershed project and funding. Chairman C Buxton opened with the need to explore new approaches as existing easements delay construction work worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
