Yeager school district patrons voted 6-0 for annexation to Vanoss in a special election Tuesday County Superintendent Norman C. Mitchell announced. Yeager had fewer than 10 pupils and one teacher Mrs Alpha Tilley. Part of Yeager district had already been annexed to Stratford earlier this year Colbert patrons are continued on Page 2 Col 3.

County Agent Cy Hailey warns farmers that dry forage requires protein supplementation for cattle. County Rancher Builds a Grass and Grain Cattle Run
Dowell Stanford, a 6 100 acre Oklahoma rancher near Fittstown, has built a steer operation from 1000 head of cattle on pasture combined with occasional grain and cottonseed cake. Since 1940 he has managed his own spread working with the Soil Conservation Service to improve land and herd.

Gary Wright Breaks Leg in Scooter Spill
Gary Wright thirteen son of Mr and Mrs Hiram Wright suffered a broken left leg Monday morning when a scooter wheel hit loose gravel causing a fall. Butch Sutton escaped with minor scrapes and bruises and Gary was taken to Valley View Hospital for about four days of treatment.
