Three men robbed the Bank of Jones around 11 am using a heavy nitroglycerin charge that blew the safe door into the street. They escaped on foot with about $1,800, while citizens on the street saw them flee northward. an automobile was suspected to be waiting nearby. No descriptions were obtained.

I M Wymore of Kingman Kansas arrived this morning on a visit to his son I Wymore and will stay for a few days.
Joe Sullivan died at his home on the Underwood place three miles south of Ada Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was at Rosedale cemetery this afternoon. He had been ill for months with pneumonia. He leaves a wife and five children. He was 39 and had lived in the area ten or twelve years. He was a highly respected citizen and his loss is mourned by family and community.
Al Kubiak of Philadelphia won a ten round decision over Carl Morris the Oklahoma white hope in Atlanta Georgia at the Dixie Athletic Club. Kubiak showed infighting edge with two solid blows to Morris one and the referee awarded the decision on points amid some protest.
