22 Killed When Rock Hits Bus
ALIQUIPPA Pa December 23 Twenty two persons died last night when two boulders over 100 tons toppled onto a yellow Ohio River Motor Coach carrying war workers near here. Only three passengers escaped. two with critical injuries. The crash occurred at 5 10 p.m. on a slippery S curve. The bus was smashed in two and rested against a steel guard rail near railroad tracks. Rescue workers battled for hours amid the danger of further rock falls.
