Phur secures asphalt paving of seven blocks in Ardmore Oklahoma with concrete base from Shelby-Downard Asphalt Co. at 2.56 dollars per square yard covering materials grading gutters curbing drainage and storm sewers. Work to begin within about fifteen days announced by City Clerk E W Grity.
A reproduced 1908 Sulphur city clerk letter to Ada City Council discusses asphalt payment practices. The note cites a November 21 1908 date and references Otis B Weaver Ada Oklahoma in reply to an Ada letter dated the 18th.
D. R. Floyd and Miss May Huddleson were married Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of the brides' brother Frank Huddleson. A large crowd attended and H. J. Brown justice of the peace officiated.
