The sheriff received a telephoned report that a store at Vanoss was entered last night and furs were taken. Officers found some furs at the Union wagon yard. Ed Lancaster of Vanoss was arrested on suspicion of stealing and selling the furs to Union people. he is held for the arrival of the Vanoss merchant who will identify the items.
