Trout Stocking Planned at Blue River This January
Oklahoma wildlife officials announce a second year of put and take trout stocking at the Blue River Public Hunting and Fishing area starting the first weekend in January. Fish will come from the Norfolk Arkansas hatchery. Anglers must obtain a $1 annual trout permit in addition to a state fishing license. The permit is valid statewide with a daily bag limit of six and a possession limit of twelve after day one. Last year the program yielded over 41,505 man hours of fishing and averaged 81 percent of released fish caught over three months in 1968.
