In Pontotoc county a light vote approved a state relief appropriation of 2.59 million dollars to aid unemployable Oklahoma residents for 18 months. Ada precincts showed mixed support under Gov. City officers pursued two burglars suspected in two early Tuesday morning thefts. Rome reports the north Ethiopia army defeated Ethiopian forces along the Takkaze river after a three day fight from Dec 15 to 17. The East Central State Teachers college has progressed over ten years with five major buildings planned. The 1969 Science building by Texas Building Co. under President Briles, the 1920 Education building under President Gordon, the 1925 Administration building with central heating, the 1927 Health gymnasium and boiler house.
Secretary Morgenthau announced a new issue named Series B will open to the public January 1. The bonds follow the 1935 design and terms, with sales from March 1 totaling 178,718,280 in receipts and a maturity value of 238,291,000. They are sold at a discount with interest deducted from purchase price, and 2.9 percent interest over ten years.

The Republican National Committee selected Cleveland as the site for the 1936 presidential nominating convention by a 54 to 3 vote with 6 for Kansas City and 3 for Chicago. The decision used secret ballots and was framed as a vote to oppose President Roosevelt with a $159,000 site commitment and promises of party strength in Ohio.
