Sheriff Grover Butler of Pottawatomie county and Shawnee chief L A Brown traveled to Fort Worth Texas to extradite James P Overstreet on a robbery with firearms charge for the Federal National bank holdup in which 18000 dollars was seized. County attorney Claude Hendon said death is sought if possible. Overstreet had escaped Granite reform school in 1922, fled to Mississippi, helped loot a Tupelo jewelry store, and faces other charges including auto theft. Authorities linked him to Joe Marshall's death near Bristow after the bank raid.

Five Shots Kill Oil Worker in Sasakwa Case
J T Hawkins 29 a Sasakwa oil field worker is dead from five rifle wounds in a Sasakwa morgue. Tom Bond his father in law is held by Seminole County authorities for the slaying. Family trouble is cited as the motive. Hawkins died instantly after being shot in a pasture after a bid to mend relations. The body will ship to Madill for burial.

Haskell Scott a 17 year old is held for action by the district court after a preliminary hearing before Justice Joseph Anderson.
