Stolen cattle recovered from Pushmataha County ranch ring
Twenty head of cattle stolen from four counties were identified and returned from a Pushmataha county ranch controlled by a cattle thieves ring. Sheriff Clyde Kaiser credited Sheriff John Helms for the discovery and said more cattle may be found at the Clayton area hideaway. The thefts began in January and spanned to April with cattle fattened at the ranch and later sold at public auctions. Nine cattle were from Cleveland county, two from McClain, four from Seminole, and others traced to Pontotoc. Laseman facing larceny and burglary charges. bonds totaling 5000.
