The Chickasha board of education met to decide on repairs for a fire at Chickasha High School causing about 89,000 to 90,000 in damage to the 225,000 building. Fire started around midnight in the auditorium and gymnasium, spread to the roof and third floor, but offices and classrooms on the main floor were saved. Classes may resume Monday in city churches if arrangements are made. the building is insured. trustees may seek federal aid for a new building and note the original 1909 structure and 1923 addition costs.
