Deputies from Shawnee and Tecumseh arrested a man calling himself Hayes in Ada on a jail break charge. He is identified as Art Bowers, oil field worker with ties to Pontotoc county. A woman with him claimed to be Ethel Hayes. The car used was reported stolen with a stolen tag.

Oklahoma governor spared new impeachment charges by TRO
District Judge T G Chambers issued a temporary restraining order to stop the Oklahoma House from resuming impeachment charges against Governor Henry Johnston or any state official.
