Fort Worth Texas December 8 The air force announced the B 36 was flown 18 000 miles round trip to Hawaii and back via San Diego San Francisco and Pearl Harbor day. The crew used a scooter on rails to move about the 230 foot wing span and the bomber carried a test load to halfway to Honolulu. The flight lasted about 35 hours and exceeded 18 000 miles with a 278 000 pound weight. The plane 67 foot tall and built to carry 10 000 pounds of bombs the bomber aims to reach 12 000 miles range.
