Car Foundered Crossing South Canadian Bridge Treacherous
A Ford coupe driven by T A Sehmitt and with F F Nice crossed the South Canadian at Bynglow water bridge last night. A team pulled into a deep hole, the harness was cut, and both men swam to safety. The bridge was washed away last June and the crossing remains dangerous. Local officials blame inaction by Pontotoc Seminole and state highway authorities for delaying bridge reconstruction.
