Eggs Price Outlook Says Supports Ending Next Year
The government will not support egg prices next year. Bureau of Agricultural Economics warns unsteady wholesale and farm prices could clip household costs in early 1951 but lift later in the year as reduced production and smaller flocks push prices up. The withdrawal may lower midwestern ungraded eggs more than eastern graded stocks, with farmers culling hens and fewer new hatchings possible.
