Major Harry B. Gilstrap 65 regional manager of the U S veterans administration was killed in a highway crash six miles southeast of El Reno on highway 66. Hot tempered lad shoots sister in Kansas City home
In Kansas City Kansas a six year old high school football player Max Grauberger was held after he shot his sister Margaret two after a family quarrel. The girl was wounded in the jaw and in critical condition. Police quoted Max saying he acted because she quarreled with their mother. He fired a six shooter then struck the girl with a milk bottle as she tried to disarm him. Their mother Bertha Grauberger described both children as hot tempered.

Slayer Of Two Draws Two Long Prison Terms
Julius Bohannon pled guilty in McCurtain County District Court after a trial jury was chosen. Judge George R. Childers gave Bohannon a life term for the murder of Deputy Sheriff E. J. Whitten and 99 years for first degree manslaughter in the killing of W. B. Wilmoth.
