Old Gaar Corner home to be torn down after 54 years
Fifty four years after its 1908 build by J D Gasr the Gaar Corner frame home is being dismantled. Once a landmark near SH 39 the eight room house hid newspapers from 1912 on its ceiling and walls. I J Allen of Oil Center bought the house from J C James of Stratford. James had purchased it earlier.

Dump truck overturns after rear-end crash near Ada
A dump truck filled with Kravel overturned on SH 19 west of Ada after rear-ending a pickup driven by Gary Norman Wright. Wright, 20, was hospitalized briefly for possible head injuries, while his father was treated for cuts. The 19-year-old driver Gary Roland Cole was uninjured. Trooper T. Gay investigated.
