Arrest of Younger Barrow Reported in Texas Raid
Nacogdoches Texas August 22 1933 L C Barrow and Joe Francis were arrested in a farm raid 15 miles east of Nacogdoches led by Sheriff Carl Butler and Police Chief Tom Drewley. Barrow a younger brother of Clyde Barrow is sought over the Joplin Missouri officers slayings. Buck Barrow died after a gunfight with officers at Dexter Iowa. Decker said Barrow and Francis were wanted in Dallas for automobile theft inquiries after a tip that Clyde Barrow Benny Parker and a woman traveling with him had been seen near Martinsville 15 miles east of Nacogdoches. Clyde Barrow has been spotted in Texas recently but always eludes capture.
