Ada Firemen Battle Three Area Fires
Ada firemen fought three fires on Wednesday. At 11:40 a.m. a hay field on Escal Myers property six miles northwest of Ada on SH 13 ignited from a welding torch, burning about two hours and causing about 1200 dollars in damage. A second blaze at 1:06 p.m. on SH 99 north of Ada involved a trailer tire fire from faulty brakes owned by Quaker Window Products Co. Fire crews quickly controlled the flames. A third grass fire on SH south of Ada near the state highway right of way was reported at 10:02 p.m. and quickly brought under control.
