South McAlester on Aug 3 urges the first state legislature to pass a fellow servant law to cover injuries to miners and mine boys. Judge Charles B. Stuart is expected to be asked to frame the bill as coke and iron industries grow. Hospitals are filled with coal workers harmed by fellow servant negligence.
At Bartlesville Indian Territory committee session P Frowe full blood Indian member quit the Republican Party over a heated floor debate on Indian and negro votes. Judge James Humphreys and Frank H Greer discussed state politics as Dennis Flynn boosted Republican efforts. A banquet with Governor Frantz followed as delegates convened.
The Ada News publishes a 76 page pictorial album of Ada and vicinity. Copies cost 25 cents each with 3 cents postage for mailing to addresses. Subscribers are receiving deliveries this week and many praise the printing quality.
A charter was granted for the Missouri River and Gulf Railroad Company to build a 420 mile line from Kansas City to Denison Texas and a 220 mile Lehigh Oklahoma line to Shreveport Louisiana. The project links Harriman interests with a Gulf outlet via an adjusted Topeka to Kansas City start. Directors include E F Swinney C K Wells and others of Kansas City.
The speaker states no connection with Tom Holman of Oakman Indian Territory in a mercantile business except that Holman acted as trustee in selling stock to secure repayment of a debt owed to the speaker. The speaker asserts Holman was never authorized and is not at large.

In the Southern District of the Indian Territory at Ardmore the trustee T. J. Chambless announces a public sale on August 10, 1906 at 2 p m in Ada to auction the entire stock of Mason Drug Company including drugs medicines proprietary and toilet articles cigars paints oils wall paper soda fountain apparatus and related stock. A complete inventory will be available for inspection prior to sale. Witness dated July 28 1906.
