Two Arrested In Whiskey Raids
Sheriff’s office raided Wednesday morning. Leonard Iker and T L Pinkston faced unlawful possession charges. Each was held on $500 bonds after pleading not guilty before County Judge Hoyt Driskill. Iker allegedly had seven pints whiskey a pint gin and a pint apricot liqueur at a tourist cabin south of Ada on highway 99. Pinkston faced possession charges for a half pint alcohol and four pints whiskey at a location north of Ada on highway 99.

Sentence Day in County Court Two Appeals Noted
On Wednesday five persons found guilty at the recent term appeared before Judge Hoyt Driskill. Notices of appeal were filed in two cases to the criminal court of appeals. Sentences were set or deferred for several defendants including Jack Adams for defrauding a boarding house keeper. Doc Boggess faced a $150 fine and 30 days in jail for unlawful possession of whiskey after a motion for a new trial was overruled. Leonard Iker and Elmer Hanson drew 30 days in jail and $50 fines for unlawful possession. Sue Hoppes appealed after her motion for a new trial was denied and received 30 days in county jail and a $50 fine for unlawful possession.
