London dealer adds rare 1960 Apocalypse to stock
William H Robinson, a Pall Mall rare books dealer, paid $27,200 at Sotheby's for a German printed copy of the Apocalypse from 1960. The color illustrated edition has 48 leaves in three quires with period style scroll coloring. Sotheby's official called it the highest price for a black book. Robinsons said they acquired it cheaply and that no comparable piece exists.
