Osage cattleman shot after bail in murder case
Eugene Hays, Osage cattleman out on bail for killing partner Ed Hayes in Kansas City last fall, was shot on a public road eight miles north of Muskogee. Amos Hayes, half brother of the Kansas City victim, fired three times, wounding Eugene in the back. Amos surrendered to Sheriff Carrol and was released on bond. Eugene’s condition is serious.

Radiator Blow Proves Fatal in Shawnee
C F Wishart proprietor of Shawnee Transfer and Storage died at Shawnee hospital from injuries after a radiator, eleven feet high and weighing 3500 pounds, toppled from a roller truck at the new high school building.
