A January News report recounts D. E. George of El Reno Oklahoma killing himself while claiming to be John Wilkes Booth. They moved toward the Indian Territory, then Memphis, where he warned of pursuing detectives and vanished. His widow bore Laura Ida Booth in 1872, now an actress in New York, who with Charles Levine is seeking to confirm the death as Booth.
