Forman to Lecture in State Law School
Judge Henry M. Furman of the criminal court of appeals has been invited by the Oklahoma State University law department to deliver a series of lectures on Criminal Law to law students starting the first week in January. Presiding Judge Henry M. Furman affirms the Rogers county district court ruling convicting C. G. Cox of bootlegging. Cox operated in Claremore under a Government wholesale liquor license selling a drink labeled mild beer named Rochester. The court holds beer to be intoxicating and bars proprietors under wholesale licenses from escaping liability by blaming bartenders. Cox receives a $200 fine and ninety days in jail.
