The Oklahoma Democrats present Lee Cruce of Ardmore as a strong, principled candidate. Born in Kentucky in 1863, he moved to Ardmore, served as a lawyer, led Ardmore National Bank, and backed free schools. He opposes trusts, supports Bryan, and stresses party loyalty over public debates.
A critical tract denounces Haskell in Oklahoma as a self serving candidate who hijacks the new constitution for a governorship bid. It accuses him of railroading alliances, courting labor foes, and leveraging press questions to discredit rivals while farmers and workers question his past. The piece urges Democrats to evaluate his record against true party aims.
Roy Hoffman as United States Senator can be depended upon to look after the interests of the whole state. He stood for statehood on equal terms to both territories and can be depended upon by the people of the Indian Territory to remove restrictions and abolish Interior Department rule. A vote for him in the primary is a vote for a man who will help you and your neighbor by destroying obstacles hindering rapid development of the State.
