At Monday's meeting the city council agreed on the coming year's tax rates for several funds. Street and Bridge 66 mills Fire and Water 44 mills Contingent and Supply 2.72 mills Street and Light 0 mills Sinking Fund total 15.68 mills overall levy pending final passage.
John Washington of Bosqueville Texas was bedridden five weeks with blood poisoning from a spider bite and large sores. After doctors failed Bucklen's Arnica Salve healed him fully. The ad touts it as supreme for eczema boils burns and piles and lists 25 cents at Gwin and Mays Co.
Civil war veteran J. A. Stone of Kemp Texas recalls a plot between illness and death. He credits Dr Kings New Discovery to curing a stubborn cough and restoring health from 130 to 178 pounds.
