In Muskogee Oklahoma on May 5 a deputy marshal and a posse of twenty five men left Hugo at daybreak to pursue moonshiners in the Jack Fork mountains near the Boundary lines of Pashatratahy county. Four stills have been located and may be cut within twenty four hours. George Johnson, an alleged moonshiner arrested recently at Hugo, reportedly confessed implicating the marshal and others. A patrol from Washington has issued instructions and awaits further word.

Senator RB M Rotdie of Ada Oklahoma representing the Twenty third district was triumphantly acquitted by Judge Jackson on a charge of embezzling 384 from the Indian State Insurance Company of Indianapolis while acting as its Fort Gibson agent two years ago. The defense showed a receipt signed by the company president and secretary proving full settlement.
