A lightning strike near Guymon Oklahoma on July 27 instantly killed 58 year old O B Shirley as he stacked wheat for John Buece several miles south of town. Burch, unloading a large barrel, was severely shocked but not seriously harmed. Shirley leaves a wife and six children.

Oklahoma City June 27 The 1907-08 election law is in effect and no registration is required except in first class cities. Will Linn secretary of the state election board announced a circular from Adair county election board requiring registration in every voting precinct.
