Mexican forces capture Valladolid as prompt troops seize post and flee to hills in a rapid outbreak. Lively clashes reported as authorities report brief occupation before retreat to surrounding terrain.
Rebels in Valladolid were driven from the town by 7:80 a.m. as 7,200 Merida national guards and 604 federal troops led by Col. Tunne pursued them into the mountains. Wounded rebel leader Nicholag Sosa was captured, many prisoners taken, and several guards killed or wounded.

Oklahoma City reports reveal Storm's Magazine published a 1904 human interest piece on William H. Murray. Editor C. P. Sturm defends the article as a neutral portrait, noting Murray knew nothing of the shoot and did not pay for or influence the feature.
A lone thief halted the east bound Ma El Paso and Southwestern train near Corrizaza one mile east of Rosbart N W. He herded passengers into a private car, collected valuables, and escaped into the desert toward the mountains with several thousand dollars. A pursuit is underway and passengers are receiving aid from the railroad company. Mrs Geo Burris of Stonewall visited Ada yesterday.
Mrs Theodore Roosevelt Mrs Nicholes Longworth and Miss Ethel Roosevelt depart London by train to join Col Roosevelt in Southampton. They sail this afternoon aboard the Hamburg America liner Kaiserin Auguste Victoria for New York amid thanks to Southampton officials and warm welcome from the public.

Guthrie June 11 The state Court of Appeals appears to align pool and billiard halls with saloons under legal scrutiny. The Jones case in Detade upheld fines for keeping a pool hall, while Haling’s appeal was also denied. Lawmakers already sought to curb pool rooms with a school related act vetoed by Governor Haskell, who supported restricting such venues as moral and social distractors.
Jack Abernathy visits New York City to seek a police escort for Louis and Temple Abernathy as they arrive tomorrow on a horseback journey from Oklahoma. Mayor Garner and Police Commissioner Baker are involved in arranging the escort.
Washington June 10 The House again refuses to supply gasoline and lubricating oil for Uncle Joe Cannin’s Danville Illinois automobile after a 145 to 48 vote. The dispute stems from insurgent and Democratic opposition, linking the oil funding to Cannon’s defeat on the rules committee and his speakership challenge. The conference report on the legislative appropriations bill returns to negotiation for the oil item, with Representative Scott of Kansas moving against Cannon.
