The Acton Baptist Church bids farewell to Rev G R Easter who served two years and will move with Mrs Easter to Yorkton Sask. The Mill Street resurfacing completed this week improved road quality with parts paved curb to curb and traffic briefly disrupted. Scholarships valued at 1400 to 300 annual for four years support young Canadians including Miss June Buchanan of Wingham and niece of Mr Kennedy Acton. Local farm stock sales show strong prices with top boars at 70 dollars and bred sows over 50. R J Kerr oversaw the Acton sale.
