Interdenominational service blends storm and hymn in Acton
A crowd of about 500 attended an Acton interdenominational church service as a storm rolled in. Rev Father Meehan led with a sermon on unity in service while Massed choirs and bands performed hymns. Clergy from St Alban’s Rev Dawson and others from Baptist, United, Christian Reformed and Anglican churches joined, with flowers given to the eldest attendee, Miss M. Bennett, and to the mother of Annette Kroezen. Attendance declined from last year’s 1,000.
