County Council Debates Burlington Road Patching Costs
A Burlington letter sparked a County Council session over Brant Street repairs. Reeve Shannon noted Burlington has contributed 42 000 to the county road system since 1546 while the current patching costs about 4 000, calling the balance unfair. The road committee defended limited funding and noted other roads needed work. Council referred the Burlington communication back for further review and discussed beaver dam related flooding and the need for possible grants or a 3 percent funding share from the county.
