Creditors of John McIntyre late of Acton Ontario who died August 26 1926 must send full names addresses and claim details to the undersigned solicitor. Rev. Fred Storey of the Inland Mission of South America will preach at United Church Sunday morning and Knox Church Sunday evening. Milton High School’s June exams show strong results with 63 of 76 passing all papers and 95 percent pass rate in the upper school. Detours and bridge repairs affect Esquesing and the base line area, with detours via Campbellville and Peru. Postage rules cause confusion as penny postage persists for cards and letters. Turnip shipping begins with 40c per bushel, from local farms. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Reid plan to move to Toronto after long service in Acton. The township fairs are planned for September 28 with school events and harvest reports. Farmers report oats in splendid condition after sunny days, some damp grain from wet weather, and many threshing outfits active. Visitors return from exhibitions in Toronto and Buffalo, with local church and rally planning underway.
A 36 000 war memorial in Victoria Park was unveiled Sunday afternoon by Lieut Governor Col Henry Cockshutt in grateful memory of Milton district men who died in the great war. The ceremony drew thousands from Toronto Hamilton Guelph and other towns. After the unveiling rain prompted adjourning to the arena where the program continued. The platform stood with Lieut Governor Cockshutt Judge Elliott Mayor Irving Canon Woodcock ex Mayor Earl Dr R K Anderson Sheriff Webster Rev Canon Naftel Rev J N McFaul Rev N Argyle Hurlbut and E Syers among those present. Floral decorations covered the granite foundations and the monument was praised as a credit to the committee. A roll of honor listing names of district men was read during the ceremony.
The Aylmer Cemetery Board outlines perpetual and annual care funds. Members discuss annual plot fees, a Perpetuity Fund earning interest for general care, and options to prepay for perpetual maintenance and headstone protection.
The Aylmer Cemetery Board agrees to annual upkeep of a family plot in Malahide Township. The board undertakes to provide reasonable care for the plot in perpetuity after receiving fifty dollars, with officers recording the act on March 20, 1916. The note hints at council guidance for future Fairview Cemetery care amid private consideration of plans.

Mr Norman Wilds drove Mrs J Wilds Mrs Thos Lappin Mrs J B Gamble and Miss Thelma to Owen Sound for the fifty second annual session. Four hundred delegates attended the splendid meeting. In Toronto editor visited old friend Isaac Francis recovering from a July operation at Toronto General Hospital and now at Maitland Street home, likely to resume Eaton Company duties soon. He may visit Acton to see friends in the old hometown.
