Recollections of Ballinafad area pioneer schooling tale
A Ballinafad reminiscence by Miss Beatrice Hills recalls early Erin Township settlers in 1820 21. The log school and meeting house, land donated by Nathaniel Roszell, first minister Mr Hevland, and pupils like Roszell Beswick Kentner and Czeravinski mark the district’s origins. Ballinafad’s name is tied to Thomas Merry, Irish-born contributor.
