The Young People of the Baptist Church spent a pleasant evening at Mr and Mrs Fred Weat’s home in Erin township on Monday for a Halloween social. The event opened with a devotional led by president L Atkinson, followed by songs by F Coles and Wilma West, scripture read by Mia L K Reid, and a short talk by Atkinson. A closing prayer by Mrs W Peck led to games and a bountiful lunch of Weiners, rolls, pumpkin tarts and coffee. Those present returned home content with the enjoyable evening.

Six Injured As Car Rolls Over Four Times
A motor car traveling west on Highway No. 7, about eight miles west of Guelph, rolled four times injuring six people. The wrecked vehicle belonged to C. Riddell of Rockton. Three injured were taken to St Joseph's Hospital in Guelph with head and internal injuries. Police and Provincial Traffic Officer E A Webb investigated. cause not determined.

Improvements Underway at Wool Combing Plant
Improvements are underway at the Wool Combing Corporation plant here. The loading platform recently erected is being roofed. A new entrance is planned over the office and plant entrance. Roadways to sections have been graded and gravelled with further levelling and parking space pending. A neat factory style fence is contemplated to enclose the grounds.

Three Injured As Cars Collide On Main Street Acton
On Sunday morning a collision on Main Street near the junction with West Bower Avenue involved a Toronto bound car driven by M Moore and a Rockwood vehicle driven by Chas Lasby. The Toronto car front collided with Lasbys right front, leaving Moore and a passenger with injuries but the group eventually returned to Toronto after first aid. Chief E E Harrop investigated the crash.

Deer Collision Delivers Startled Drive Near Acton
A full grown deer jumped onto a highway near Rockwood colliding with a car driven by John Donaldson of Acton. Both occupants, and the animal, escaped serious injury though shaken. The deer bolted into a field after the impact, pursued briefly by two dogs.
