Town Hall Acton hosts a three act comedy drama Marys Castles is the Air by Guelph talent on Tuesday at eight. Ladies Aid Acton United Church sponsor. In Milton a 30-year-old Charles Woodward was remanded to October 23 after being charged with stealing tools from his employer Thomes Howden Esquesing. Nine quilts prepared for the West by the Ladies Aid and Women's Missionary Society and were placed on a car for West on October 20. Forty six attendees. Remembrance Day November 11 declared statutory holiday with only Sundays compulsorily observed under Canadian law.

By-laws Passed by Esquesing Council
Esquesing Township Council met on October 10 with Deputy Reeve Appelbe and Councillors present. By-laws set rate collectors per wards, allow additional tax collections after 1933, and authorize borrowing 15700 for current expenditures. Meeting scheduled for November 3.

Eramosa Council Ratifies Inter-Township Ditch Agreement
The Eramosa Council meeting on October 10 approved a drainage agreement with Nichol and lands in Garafraxa Nichol and Eramosa under the Ditches and Watercourses Act. A road widening project south of No. 1 Highway was deemed necessary after a safety review. The council allocated 15 for Poppy Day and Remembrance Day. a 5 reward was offered for information leading to the destruction of a dog worrying sheep. They sought to cancel a Hydro-Electric contract at Eden Mills and awarded printing of minutes and statements to Anderson Press, with 321.04 in accounts paid. The session adjourned to November 13.

Halton County sent Harold Pickett Hornby Lloyd Easterbrook Campbellville Willard Featherstone Hornby and John Lister Hornby to Owen Sound for the International Ploughing Match. Pickett took second in class one, Featherstone ninth in class two, Easterbrook sixth in class three. In the Inter-County final for The Farmer Trophy Halton swept to the championship, with Pickett earning the best ridge and Easterbrook the second best ridge.
