Two new Halton County Health Unit offices open this fall in Acton and Georgetown to serve northern communities. Public health nurse Miss Jean Rowe and Mrs Donna Cranswick share Acton duties. Georgetown staff Mauss Joxee Newitt and Mrs Lambert Jamieeson will work there. Offices operate without secretarial help with consultation hours from 11:00 to 2:00 and 3:00 to 5:00.

Two men hospitalized after a Friday night collision on No 7 Highway near Fourth Lane Acton. Edward Footnit 1 of Acton driving west collided with Robert House 23 of Rockwood, causing Footnit to crash into a ditch and House car to roll over after hitting a pole. Rice and Crispin sustained serious injuries with head wounds and fractures. Police estimate damage at $75 to the Footnit car.

Eden Mills Store Owner Struck in Night Robbery
Anna Coulson, owner of a small Eden Mills general store, was attacked by two jacketed youths who stole about 25 in change after entering late Saturday night. Coulson, alone at the time, was struck and treated for shock and head injuries while her daughter summoned help. Police from the Guelph OPP detachment investigated and searched the area.

Margaret Wallis of Acton hospitalized after a two car collision about two miles north of Milton on Thehbwas 25. Wallis suffered chest injuries rib fractures and head and hand lacerations.
