Former Minister Rev Charles Hackett Dies in Oakville
Oakville resident and former Acton Methodist Church minister Rev Charles Hackett died at his home on November 20 after a heart seizure while shoveling snow. Born in England and a long career in Ontario and Newfoundland, he led charges in Kalvin Tara Port Colborne Port Dalhousie and Acton and served as past president of the Hamilton Conference United Church. He retired nine years ago. His widow May Gould, two sons William and Arthur, four brothers and one sister survive.
