Geo Harper of Erin Township pleaded guilty to a charge of having aquor not purchased from a government vendor, fined $100 and costs and three months in county jail. sentence concurrent with another term. Nevin Bay in South Caernarvonshire sees grey and black seals harass fishermen by chasing herrings into nets and tearing them. Eight years ago a gunboat shot many seals. now officials seek a new gunboat from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to curb the damage.
Oakville figure Harry "Red" Poster famed sports authority spoke at the first Boys Night by St Jude's Men's Club held last Thursday. The report also notes a highway crash near Twelve-mile Creek with both drivers charged as negligent. George Dale of Oakville died at Christie Street Hospital at 61. Mrs Garner and husband sail to England aboard Queen Mary from New York next week.
