The annual U. F. O. Ob meeting will be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening November 24 at eight o'clock. Judge Munro handed down a decision awarding $50.00 and $4.00 costs in the ox-County Clerk case. Dorothy Phillips was injured at school by a bat but returned to class. A quiet wedding joined Howard Statham and Myrtle Elizabeth Keller at Belleville on November 7. John Gibbon died after a fall at Thomson's lumber yard. Halton Deanery Woman's Auxiliary Annual Meeting Held
The annual meeting of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Anglican Church in Halton Deanery was held at St. Alban's Church with representation from Acton Bronte Burlington Georgetown Glen Williams Flamby Lowville Milton Nasa angaweye Norval Omagh Oakville JawWerme Rockwood Hlowarttown. The service began with Holy Communion led by Canon D Russell South and Archdeacon G F Soovil. Morning session chaired by Mrs Dudley Hmith featured officers including Mrs Leather and Mrs Moody. Clergy met in the Rectory. moving pictures on church work in Kangra India were shown. Attendance was high. plans for another year of missionary work were noted. Afternoon tea was served by St Alban’s and St John’s Rockwood. Archdeacon Soovil concluded the meeting.

D Paul Munroe Liberal captured Ontario Legislature seat in South Wellington after Liberal sweep outside Fergus, where Conservative gains limited. Acton Chivenne Band Holds Annual Meeting and Elections
Acton Chivenne Band met in the Band Room with nearly all members present. President Archig Kerr led the session as the auditor reported sound finances and band property. Several instruments were put into service for winter, and an early 1942 program was outlined. Officers elected include President Geo H. Wishop, Vice President Jox McGenchie, Secretary G. A. Dills, Librarians Dimpton and Smith, Property Custodian R. Agnew, and Caretaker T. Parkinson. A winter social plan was made, and a gala banquet followed the business portion.
