Acton Y M C A launches Membership and Contribution Week from November 18 to 23 with a program of sports and activities. An aero plane race across the highway will pit community groups to recruit members, with quotas for girls and boys by birthday ranges and men and women over 21. The event culminates November 23 in a gymnasium race and banners for top performers.

Monthly Meeting of School Board Discusses Grants and Gym Use

Remembrance Day Service At Acton Park And Knox Church
A damp November morning drew Acton residents to the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies. Veterans and local groups marched to the Soldiers Monument, two minutes of silence followed the Last Post, wreaths were laid, and civic and church officials spoke on duty and memory. A bronze essay medal was awarded to Miss Jean Bennie for How Can Canada Contribute Toward World Peace, with the Legion presenting the prize.
