Knox Presbyterian Church Marks 108th Anniversary
Knox Presbyterian Church observed its 108th anniversary with morning and evening services attended by visitors from out of town. Rev. A. W. Currie of Runnymede preached in the morning on The Declaration of the Gospel and in the evening on Lengthen Thy Cards Strengthen Thy Stakes. A turkey dinner for 700 followed the program led by Mrs. McCutcheon, with entertainment by Joan John and Sherlock Aitkens, Miss Frances Spiars, Jim Bard, Mrs. Ward Bruce, the Arkell Happy Gang, Mrs. Robert Parker and others.

Pte. Bob Fetterley of Acton comes home after a year and two months in Korea. He will stay until January then resume army service at Sunny Brook Hospital. In Korea he served with the medical corps behind the front lines and witnessed helicopter evacuations. He enlisted about two and a half years ago, with earlier postings at Camp Borden and Kingston.
