Mrs Edmund Synnott, born Elizabeth Gibbons, died October 23 at St Joseph’s Hospital Guelph. Survived by husband four children two sisters and five brothers. Funeral October 27 from Eramosa St Peters Church Oustic with Requiem High Mass by Rev J J Holland. Burial at St Peters Cemetery Oustic funeral largely attended.
Annie Nicklin widow of Charles Nicklin and pioneer of Wellington County died at eighty seven in Morriston while visiting her eldest daughter. Born near Ponsonby in Pilkington Township she cared for neighbors as nurse and helper in early days. Survived by five of seven children including Alma Eliott Minnie Fife and Emma Elliott. Funeral at Pilkington Bethany church with interment at Elora.
Robert Lane, longtime Limehouse resident and former TeeGate employee, died after a long illness. Born March 14 1868 in Chinguacousy, he moved to Limehouse 36 years ago and was active in the Methodist and Presbyterian churches. Survived by wife Catharine Scott three sons John Worley Arthur William and Robert two daughters Annie Calder Beatrice Mae and Nell Irene three brothers George Andrew and John and sister Lizzie. Funeral held October 25 at Limehouse Cemetery with Rev Kenneth McLean officiating. Pallbearers included Wm McConnell Joe Scott John Scott Wm Lane Rob Doughty and Richard Marshall. Floral contributions came from Toronto Lime Go Brighton Laundry and others. many relatives attended from Cobourg Dundalk Guelph Eratton Georgetown and surrounding areas.

Burlington and Oakville backed Anderson strongly while Nassagaweya favored Campbell. Local bands paraded to mark the result as King and Meighen ties near equal in Ontario and Quebec.
The Acton Public School October examinations list honors by class. Senior Fourth winners include Reba McNabb and Jean Santh. Junior Fourth honors go to Allan Marshall and Helen Oxtrand. Senior First names Frank Jones and Nell McNabb among top scorers.
Annual report of Governor McGle for Halton County Jail Milton covers year ending September 20. Prisoners committed 164 with 65 on criminal charges and 86 under Ontario Temperance Act.
