Acton District High Athletes Shine At CWOSSA Meet
Acton District High School athletes wore red and white as 29 schools competed in CWOSSA track and field in Guelph. Wendy Almond won intermediate shot put, Sandra Singerland took intermediate discus second, and the intermediate relay of Chisholm Cook Field Findlay finished third. Allan Hall led senior distance runners in the water mile, with Paul Mur third in the same race. The senior boys relay won and the intermediate relay placed third, with other Acton athletes earning ribbons in shot put and broad jump. Preparations continued for the CWOSSA A meet in Waterlo o.
