County Council approves salary increases and office changes

Triplet Calves Born by Holstein Cow On Halton Farm
Three bull calves born to a registered Holstein cow named Cleveland Elsie on W. O. Snow and Son’s Bare Line property in Trafalgar Township may be the district’s first alive bovine triplets. Snow noted a history of three sets of twins in two years, with the triplets thriving and standing within four hours. J. E. Whitelock, Halton Holstein Freesian Association secretary, could not recall prior triplets in the county.

Thieves failed to steal a local truck after becoming stuck in deep snow near the Queen Street crossing of the CNR. A citizen alerted Constable Ceell, and the truck was later recovered abandoned with meat stolen from the bunkhouse on Frederick Street still inside.
