The Everton Institute met at Mrs John McCutcheon's home with twenty seven members present. A donation of five dollars was given to the Everton Baseball Team. The group planned to paint the cemetery fence and arrange a garden party to aid the cemetery. The program included readings a debate on Santa Claus teaching and an orchestra selection. Social refreshments followed. July meeting set for Mrs G G Robertson. Several local residents were mentioned including Miss Irene Fielding and Mrs J Campbell with health updates and weather notes.

William H Walker Dies in Acton at Mill Street Home
William H Walker aged Acton resident died in his sleep Sunday night at his Mill Street home. Born in Maidstone England on March 4 1852 he came to Canada as a youth, lived in Mitchell and Acton, learned painting, married Mary Worden in 1872 then Ella Smith Ryder in 1923. Survived by his wife Mina daughter and several relatives. The funeral at Acton United Church was attended by many mourners with Orange and I.O.O.F orders represented.
